GUBITAK
The project consists of around fifteen photographs of public notices about a missing parrot. The work is minimal in text and strictly observational in form. Although the subject seems private, the series speaks about a wider structure of absence. A personal attachment becomes public through a sheet of paper attached to a wall. The repetition of images changes the perception - from a single event to a general condition: loss as part of everyday urban life. In the photographs, one can also see traces of the search and possible places where the parrot could hide, details of the urban environment that remind of it, and in the end, the discovery of the parrot in a slightly different form.
